You Can Help Restore Hope for Central Ohio Families

With the holidays quickly approaching, many people are in the giving spirit. Some will volunteer their time in a nursing home, donate canned goods or hold a clothing drive. This season, we challenge you to think outside the box and consider giving back to local families who are experiencing family violence.

The Center for Family Safety and Healing (TCFSH) addresses all aspects of family violence including child abuse and neglect, teen dating abuse, domestic violence and elder abuse. Even the smallest donation can make a lasting impact on a family who has lost hope due to violence.

This season, you can help restore hope. TCFSH is currently in need of new stuffed animals. Each child that walks into TCFSH’s doors for an interview or medical exam gets to choose a stuffed animal to take home. Hosting a stuffed animal drive is a wonderful opportunity for a group service project for school, work or through your place of worship.

Other new items to donate include:

Travel size hygiene products (shampoo, soap, sanitizer, deodorant, tooth paste, feminine hygiene products, brushes/combs)
• Children’s books
• School supplies
• Grocery and gas gift cards
